Brown cloth 8vo, 137pp. Extra-illustrated with 30 original photos taped in steps on the rear blanks, annotations to rear endpaper and blanks. Signature of of Harold E Frederick and stamp 'Sonotone of Clarksburg' to front pastedown. Taylor's book explains the use of thermometers, barometers, hygrometers, and other tools (lest not the good ol' windsock be neglected).
Owner, annotator, and formidable tinkerer Harold Frederick was the manager at a West Virginia "Sonotone" hearing aid supplier. The Weather book represents his after-hours electronic experiments, showing several exterior photos of his house (adorned with multiple kind of antennas), rigging systems in his attic and assorted monitoring devices (and a windsock for good measure). It appears some of his experiments involved atmospheric acoustics, which would fit with his Sonotone skill set. A photo of his wife is also included, perhaps in honor of her putting up with his experiments.
