Un Cartoon De (Signed)
Hardcover 16mo, 72pp. Black paper-covered boards with titles printed in white on spine and upper board. The first issue, preceding the trade publication the following year (entitled "Hares in the Gate"). Inscribed by Parker on the front flyleaf: "John / Best wishes, as you're such an anglophile, I won't apologize for these cartoons being too English ... / Alan P. Dec. '82." Board edges scuffed; internally clean with a faint halo of age toning. 70 cartoons from the brain of the acclaimed director of dozens of internationally successful films, including Evita, Pink Floyd's The Wall, and Angela's Ashes. Thoroughly illustrated in black and white with a few color accents in yellow and red. Vaguely autobiographical, covering big business, filmmaking, and general whimsy.
