Floral/topiary hand-painted "check paper" pattern for Jacquard woven tapestry, France 1911

Floral/topiary motif painted in gouache, 19 x 16.5 inches. In Good condition several small edgetears inconspicuously reinforced with archival tape from the back. Dated 1911, but with strong 8-bit video game graphic "vibes" for a timeless elegance. The photographs document the unbacked pattern (with a slight curl) and in a mylar sleeve, backed with matboard to show the edges. It will ship rolled in a tube unless the mat is requested (there is no cost for the mat, but shipping overages due to size may apply).
