The Art of Sewing and Dress Creation [Course in...]
Softcover 8vo, 64pp. 4 color plates and many b&w photos and diagrams throughout. Exterior with soil and discoloration; text has fared much better and remains clean with just a touch of age toning. Undated, ca. 1920s. Some basic advice on tacks and hand stitching, but primarily produced to acquaint the modern woman with the electric sewing machine. The booklet promotes the sewing machine as a vehicle to take control of one's time and appearance. It presents "certain fundamental principles as applied to dress," including several pages of color charts for complementing hair colors. Scarce.
