Wilson Jones Loose Leaf Co. steel clamp binder, ca. 1920

Steel clamp binder, 9.5 x 6 inches. With commensurate scuffing and patina; first and last leaves with a tidemark ridge, paper pad is otherwise nicely toned but clean (and interchangeable, with a little elbow/actual grease). Manufactured by the Wilson Jones Loose Leaf Co. in Chicago as part of the "De Luxe Line" introduced around 1915 and marketed through the 1920s. Constructed with 1/16" steel and weighing over 1lb, a beautiful and possibly indestructible industrial office supply.
