Snapshot of a Boeing B-29 in flight, WWII bomber
A rather artful original 8 x 10 photograph photo of a B-29 framed only by the wing of the photographer's plane and the glare from its window. A photograph of the same exact plane appears in "Boeing B-29 Superfortress" by Ben Skipper, identified as XB-29G. Fair condition with creasing and age toning, some loss to the lower left corner, and a few other small nicks around the edges. Despite the damage--maybe even, in part, because of it--the photo has an ethereal, meditative quality. You can almost hear the deep hum of the engine outside the window. Nice, quietly surprising image.
