Signs of the Times: The National Journal of Display Advertising, August 1932. Vol. 71, No. 4.
Wonderfully graphic magazine with tons of advertisements, articles about notable ad campaigns, notice on industry regulations, etc. A true tradesman's journal, it gives updates on community events, including deaths and accidents, and has great classifieds "Opportunity Exchange" and "Ready Reference Directory." Softcover quarto, 11.75 x 8.75 inches, 98pp. In Fair to Good condition with a 1 x 2-inch loss at the edge of the cover, which has a piece of tinted Japanese paper lightly tacked around it to prevent further damage, but can be easily removed. Modest soil to exterior and general handling wear, large abrasion to rear wrap, but contents are complete and relatively bright. Feature material on the Sign Contractor's Convention in Indianapolis and several lettering pieces highlights "Art and Design Section." Article on color contributed by Frank Atkinson.
