Brown embossed cloth 8vo, 156pp. Very Good with light rubbing to tips, minor fading to cloth. Very faint damp mark at the upper corner of the last 10 or so pages (see last photo). A series of constructive classroom arts activities intended to supplement school drawing curriculum and used in correlation with subjects such as history, literature and geography. The projects are designed to build on the Froebelian gifts and occupations learned in kindergarten, creating models and dioramas using sand tables, blackboard drawing and construction paper models. Roughly 75 projects, each with a photographic illustration and several with diagrams. Sections include History, Literature, City and Country Life, Animal Life, The Seasons, The Holidays, and In General. Some projects: Early New England Settlements, Ships of Columbus, Rip Van Winkle, The Arctic Regions, Vegetable Drawings, Farm in Winter, Circus Parade, Aquarium, Base Ball, Thanksgiving Fruits, Christmas Suggestions, Book Covers, and our favorite, "What the Wind Does."
