A handsome and copiously illustrated guide to the restaurants, clothiers, sweet shops, entertainments and souvenir outlets of Saltburn. Includes ads for the Brine and Swimming Baths opened in 1891, "The only brine baths in the North of England under Medical Inspection and approved by Ministry of Health." Here, they advertise "Massage and Electrical Treatments by prescription, including Dry Massage, Aix Douche, Russian, Vapour, Sulphur, Nauheim, Brine and Sea Water Baths, Liver and other packs. Electric Massage, Ionic Medication, Faradism, Schnee Baths and Radiant Heat."
