Reardon's ABC cards
Complete with 52 cards, 8 x 6 inches, printed with a capital and lowercase letter on either side; 2 copies each letter. In a heavy card box with printed paper label. Small droplet mark on the lid of the box and very faint overall toning, Very Good to Near Fine condition. There is a record for the cards in OCLC, but no current holdings.
Reardon was active in Ohio regional educational publishing in the 1960s. The cards are unusually compelling for a simple learning aid, created from hand-lettered originals in a "Futura" style, but with slight unevenness in tone and stroke evident only upon close inspection which betrays their manual formation.
