Large photograph of women's gloves, furs and jewelry inside Finn's Department Store, Coraopolis PA
6.75 x 8.5 inches on 10 x 12 board. Very Good with small chip to the upper right corner (with further abrasion on the verso) and closed tear in the bottom border area of the board; photograph with light surface wear and soil, but still wonderfully detailed. Identified on the verso, "Finns Dept Store, Mill Street, Coraopolis, Pa, Lenora Conroy, Me - Helen Niedermeyer (Pfaute)." Two men with shirts and ties on the left; two women behind the counter on the right, a display of gloves and jewelry in the center. An unusual light fixture or display just inside the frame. Cutout advertising Clarks gloves appears atop the ladies' back rail, ca. 1920s or possibly 1930s--the fashions are fairly subdued and the shop was put up for rent at the end of the decade.
