"Omelettes par Rudolph Stanish" original photograph ca. 1960s
Original photograph, 8 x 10 inches. Ca. 1960s, stamp on the verso of Howard Hopkins Photography in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Stanish wears the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs ribbon and medallion chain. Flanked by kitschy wicker animal sculptures and a handwritten menu hanging behind him. Trained in the kitchens of Newport mansions and New York magnates, Stanish gained recognition for his showmanship and "omelet bar" cooking to-order at large parties whose guests included Princess Diana and John F. Kennedy. He published 'Omelets, Crepes and Other Recipes' in 1970 and marketed his own line of omelet pans.
