1908 novelty postcard with botanical specimen

Sent August 8, 1908 to Miss Annie King in Wheaton, Illinois. A Gaillardia specimen under thin yellow acetate originally secured with the paper frame, which has small tears around the edges and a loss to the verso where the stamp was removed. The address and message remain intact: "I am glad to let you know that Marjorie is better. She was very bad for three weeks... She is quite thin but we hope will soon regain her flesh. Write soon. M."
