Millinery Notebook from 1980 course at Brooks College, with hat patterns and designs
Red hard vinyl binder with instructor and student notes from a course taught by Doris M. Anderson at Brooks College in the Fall of 1980. A combination of instructor handouts, worksheets, and student notes (around 35-40 pages) plus five envelopes at the rear containing hand cut patterns for different designs. A general wealth of information on the materiality of millinery, including several pages delineating types of straw and other intricacies of the craft. A section of student designs includes swatches of fabrics, including structural buckram and fillings for construction, finishing fabrics and trims.
