G. A. Gaskell
Instructions. Forming Part III of Gaskell's Compendium of Self-Teaching Penmanship
Twenty-fifth edition, 1883. Softcover 8vo, 16pp. In rather fluorescent orange wraps, intended to be sold with 18 copy slips. Copious engraved vignettes and illustrations throughout. This copy has been folded vertically and is sharply creased in half, but is otherwise Very Good with the lower corner bumped but wraps and contents bright and clean. An immensely popular system of penmanship that became standard in business colleges and was expanded to Gaskell's whole system of business correspondence and forms.
