[herbarium, botanical ephemera]
Herbier / 1909 Herbarium with Pressed Flowers and Seaweed Specimens
Softcover, 10.5 x 8.25 inches. 10 pages of plants and flowers, 5 pages of seaweed specimens at rear, 1 page with felt and flower souvenir card from the French Alps (origin of the notebook) and several unused leaves in the middle. Specifically manufactured as an herbier notebook with heavy paper and tissue interleaves to protect the specimens. Decorated with several die-cuts on the covers and a few throughout. The first specimen is labeled "Iris 1909," no other markings. Very Good with sunning and a stray mark on the covers. Crisp example with nice collection of seaweeds, a particular favorite amongst Victorian era collectors.
