Fire Boss Examination. May 4, 1938. Sections 1 & 2
2 leaves, 11 x 5.75 inches, printed recto only. Folded into fourths with heavy soil to the first sheet. 10 questions divided into two sections: Section 1 covers general knowledge and responsibilities entailed with the position; Section 2 tests working knowledge and practical examples. Fire-bosses were responsible for regular mine safety checks, especially for gas, and were required to be certified by the Department of Mines. Sections 1 and 2 are present; completeness unknown.
