B&O Railway "Cincinnatian" Train Press Photo, 1948

Stately press photo of a B&O RR train, 9.25 x 7 inches. A tide of subtle chemical discoloration along the bottom edge, otherwise Good to Very Good with light surface soil and creasing. Beautiful lines and geometry, somehow dignified-looking machinery.  Press release affixed to the verso:"This powerful passenger type steam locomotive, one of those built to haul the B & O's new CINCINNATIAN train, which went into service between Baltimore and Cincinnati last year, will form part of a special B & O exhibition train. This train, made up of historical and modern transportation equipment, will be exhibited at a number of different cities along the B & O line, during the week June 26 - July 3, while en route to Chicago to take part in the Railroad Fair opening there on July 20."
