In Very Good condition with rubbing to extremities, faint tidemark around the edges of the front matter, intermittent light foxing. In addition to being a beautiful set of plates, this copy also served as a commonplace book with poems and historical scrawlings on the blank versos of one-third of the plates. More notable entries include recipes for hair dressing in the case of typhoid fever and a potion to cure Dropsy. Inscribed "Compliments of J. M. McConnell."
