Pebbled cloth 8vo, 422pp + ad for Hunt's 'Cure of Stammering.' Gilt stamped cover and spine. Lacking front flyleaf/prelims, else Very Good with light general dustiness/soil to interior and rubbing to the cloth with some fraying started at the spine ends. James Hunt (1833-1869) was a British speech-language pathologist who specialized in stammering and treated Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) among others. He also took interest in anthropology and co-founded the Anthropological Society of London with Richard Burton in 1863.
