(2) Wooden lithograph puzzles, German, ca. 1870

Unmarked dissected/jigsaw puzzles in sliding boxes, mid-to-late nineteenth century German. Both boxes measure 5 x 7 inches and are very tightly fitted--possibly the effect of warping from changes in humidity. The box with the shepherd doesn't fully close and is missing 2-3 pieces with chips to two others. The wagon puzzle is missing chips from two pieces but is otherwise complete. The lithographs have a bit of soil and scuffing but are intact, traditional pastoral scenes which were popular for these kinds of puzzles.
