Litany of sewing and needlework skills, 1901
1901, 11 x 25 inches. Scattered foxing, Very Good condition overall. A litany of sewing and needlework skills, beginning with basic stitches and seams, mending and darning, tactilely stupendous buttonholes and ruffles. Alphabet embroidered in red, as well as eyelets and other decorative needlework. An uncommon, visually idiosyncratic all-in-one exhibit of a young woman's sewing skills, which were more frequently preserved as individual models in notebooks and albums.
