The first issue of a monthly publication for the growing audience of amateur New England beekeepers which does not appear to have lasted the year. OCLC records 4 copies of this first issue and digitized copies of the run through number 7. In Fair Condition with some dampstaining along the foredge, a vertical crease throughout the volume, and a tear to the rear wrap resulting in a chip at the upper edge and .5 x .25" hole, narrowly missing the attractive "Italian Queens!" ad woodcut. Text nevertheless complete, with articles of practical importance to beekeepers contributed by experienced keepers from across the United States.
