Roy's Fall 1933 4th grade class notebook with lots of drawings (Halloween!)
Softcover school composition notebook, 8.25 x 6.75 inches. About 60 leaves/120 pages and is full! Very Good with general wear and fingersoil, but sturdy and easy to handle. A very excellent and festive collection from a kid who really loved Halloween. Dates September through December, he also hits Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are great pieces that correspond to social studies lessons and some loose narratives with characters like "Mr. Underwear," a drawing of "water on a duck's back," great geometric windows and bookcases, and a few pages with grids of objects that have been wonderfully abstracted into basic shapes. There is also a little art history paragraph on part of Raphael's 'Sistene Madonna' with the sort of simple description that children make enigmatic.
