Pale teal cloth squat 8vo, 287pp. Near Fine with minor sunning and shelfwear, contents lightly age toned. Rear cover with image of the Bohack warehouse, contents profusely illustrated with photographs and advertisements. Unused diary for 1930, two days per page, bookended with approx. 100 pages of advertisements, local information (including subway and service guides), and those "household helps," which ranged from cleaning tricks to developing seasonal menus. Bohack's was a regional grocery chain ("The stores of Friendly Service") in operation from 1887-1977. According to the foreword, this was the fifth year they issued a diary and hoped... "Its statistics and stories of Brooklyn and Queens will be of interest not only to the people of these cities, but to readers all over the country. It will do its little part towards carrying the message of their wonderful progress."
