Glove Life: The Complete Glove Manual
Softcover quarto, 120pp. Color wraps stuffed with black and white illustrations and advertisements. No date, but the "Glove Calendar" lists key promotion dates for Easter and gifting holidays, beginning in 1948. Dictionary of textile terms, fabric qualities and care, construction, and all manner of glove factoids. Retailers appear to be the primary audience, but the content appeals to manufacturers, stylists and conscientious consumers. Perhaps the majority is dedicated to period advertisements with terrific graphics, lots of floating hands and modern flair. Rare trade publication in Very Good condition with mild rubbing and bumping consistent with light use; partial tidemark to the top rear cover, otherwise clean and unmarked.
