Deutsches Schoenschreiben zum gebrauch in schulen in fuenf heften (Eclectic Educational Series, German penmanship copybook no. 4)

New York: American Book Company, 1888.

Oblong 8vo, 24pp. German (Kurrent?) penmanship copy book, used by student Hazel A. Burbank, with 10 lines completed on the first page and two lines for the remaining exercises. Near Fine with minor bumping to the corners. A rare example from the "Eclectic Educational Series," this was originally published by Van Antwerp, Bragg & Co. in 1888 and bears only that copyright date, though this example was probably printed around 1890 when the firm was among several educational publishers consolidated into the American Book Company. Originally based in Cincinnati, among their offerings were German language primers and school books that reflected the large German populations in the region.
