15 x 6 inches, folded. Typed letter dated July 4, 1888. 8 x 5 inches, and cover with Washington stamp postmarked July 5 to Mr. A. H. Smith, Bellwood, Blair Co, PA. Expected light folds, Near Fine. Burgoon was based inn Reynoldsville and made a name for himself in Western Pennsylvania. He supplied popular ointments alongside his own concoctions, as referenced in the letter, evidently a response to an ailing man's request: "If you have a bad case of Piles I advise you to send for 6 boxes of ointment and 3 bottles of Burgoon's System Renovater (sic)..."
