Cissy Graham [autograph books, drawing & lettering].
Autograph book with finely lettered dedication pages and attractive drawings, 1906-1920.
Padded cloth 12mo with a brushed finish. Rounded corners, all edges gilt. Contains laid paper in several tones, only a handful of which are used, but demonstrate a clear interest and aptitude for graphic art. The booklet includes work by at least three people: Cissy Graham, the original owner/recipient who's contributed two drawings in a cartoon style and one in graphic framing similar to a stained glass design; three drawings initialed L.F.C. and dated 1920, including two watercolors; and the lettered gift inscription was done by Mrs. Seale (or someone on her behalf). Two pages with poems, including "Keep on keepin' on." Sparingly used, but with particularly nice contents.
