Studio portrait of a boy with his eyes closed (Victorian post-mortem photography)

Late 19th-century studio portrait of a young boy with his eyes closed. Propped up in the corner of a sofa, modestly dressed and wearing borrowed shoes, likely a post-mortem photo taken for a less-than-wealthy Victorian era family. In oval setting, crudely mounted on plain card with unevenly trimmed bottom edge. Blank verso, approx. 4 x 2.5 inches. No identifying marks.
