Japanese Silk Dye Specimens, Catalog of 60 Swatches
Cloth hardcover, 9 x 5.5 inches. 6 panels with 5 100-momme silk swatches inlaid on each side, 60 examples in total. No date, but binding appears ca. 1940s. A catalog of colors and indications for dyeing 100 momme silk with pigments derived from ginseng and other natural sources, manufactured by Kiriyama Shoten. Condition about Very Good, with rubbing to extremities. Shallow tidemark showing at the upper edge and some foxing to the panels, but silks are mostly unaffected and retain their bright and bold hues.
