EYE CARE vintage 1970s India optician trade sign

Vintage hammered iron trade sign, handcrafted for an optical shop in India, ca. 1970s. Handpainted with beautiful detail on the eyelashes, with the eye and rim hammered in relief for a nice sculptural touch. Delicious texture, great to look at from either side.

Very good condition with some superficial cracking to the enamel, now sealed with reversible UVLS to preserve the perfectly weathered finish and prevent further chipping or discoloration.
