The Buffalo Pad (Engraver's Transferring Device)

A tool for creating transfers, especially monograms, most helpful for engraving silverware and other household goods. The box is collapsed to 5.5 x 5 inches and has heavy wear including chipping and abrasion. The metal piece is 4" round. It appears to have originally relied on a gelatin insert (not present), but remains a rather attractive object with a good weight and no residue or signs of use.
