Very Good condition; leather dry and cracked at the joints, slight scrape to rear board and chipping to the spine ends. Internally bright and clean. Single volume from an early edition of the "Circle of Science" series attributed to John Newbery, the "father" of children's literature, which was revived in the mid-19th century. Dublin printing with the signature of Mary Shackleton to the second blank.
