Yarns for Children to Sew and Read

Oblong 8vo, 6.75 x 9 inches. 26 leaves in printed color wrappers, designed to be removed for sewing then reassembled by the child. This copy incomplete--no copies listed in OCLC, but appears in an old Library of Congress catalog as having 32 pages. In this copy are 3 preliminary leaves, 13 with story text, and 10 with the illustrations for sewing (5 partially embroidered, including one page with the needle still attached!) Two pages torn at the bottom corner, otherwise lightly soiled and shelfworn but Very Good for what is present. In the story, a ball of yarn comes to life as the objects from the illustrations. Instructions for the color of each object is contained in the text, with children expected to complete the images based on careful reading of the stories.
