The Normalian of 1931 - Yearbook of the State Normal School at Geneseo, NY
Hardcover, 187pp., including ads at rear. The 1931 "Normalian" embraces an Egyptian theme, and features bold color plates and great design, utilizing a variety of printing materials and techniques. More sumptuous than any yearbook I've ever seen, and housed in a silver slipcase to boot. Full of terrific and portraits of young women at the tail-end of '20s fashion and short haircuts for serious girls. Humorous (and occasionally humor-less) group photos for bygone clubs and sports do not disappoint. Plus, a cutout of a student named "Ardis Starr," who seems like a character. This copy belonged to Winifred B. Eimers, a sophomore at the school whose name is written on the inside of the slipcase. A few inscriptions throughout, but very neat and in Very Good condition overall. Tremendous fun to look through and really graphically engaging.
