Tyndall, John
On Radiation: The "Rede" Lecture, Delivered in the Senate House, Before the University of Cambridge, England, on Tuesday, May 16, 1865
Red pebbled cloth stiff wraps, 8vo, 48pp. Frontispiece of "The Spectrum of Electric Light." Good with soil to wraps but internally bright and clean. Tyndall has historically been credited with discovering the science behind global warming and the "greenhouse effect" (though female scientist Eunice Foote had actually beat him to it in America). An engaging read, even for the layman. "The sensation of light reduces itself to the communication of motion," etc.
