Hood's Sarsaparilla Proverb Calendar 1900 Die Cut (with custom tailoring)

6.5 x 5.5 at the extremes. Orginial cardboard flap intended to prop up the calendar is intact, but sewn to the base during alterations--custom fabric dresses and bonnets have been sewn to the cards. The added dressing is particularly curious for the gathering of fabric that creates a three-dimensional cover (unlike cutting out a dress shape as you would on a paper doll). The fabric has frayed through in areas and has a hard-won charm and the back is in excellent condition.
