Specimen photo, "Prescriptions" trade sign

Silver gelatin print, 8 x 10 inches, in flexible mat covering, 10 x 12 inches. Photo is in Good condition with three chips from binder holes in the bottom border and short closed tear at the upper right (not visible in mat); mild surface soil and wear, about Very Good overall. Mat with mild age toning. No written date or name, but reported to be from a Virginia or West Virginia sign maker's records, ca. 1930s. Unusual and attractive, with very strong contrast.
