A rather impressive frontis portrait of the baron precedes 267 incredible illustrations of his gymnastic theories in action. A removable 20"x24" folding chart inserted in rear pocket, a facsimile of the chart Posse exhibited in the Swedish pavillion during the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. This copy is in Very Good + condition with light rubbing to extremities. Rear flyleaf was mispositioned by the binder while attaching back pocket, and so is worn at the foredge. Overall, this is a bright and clean copy of this curious and delightful volume.
