The fifth edition of Bowen's Applied Anatomy... with revisions by Boughner and Rynearson who note in the preface to this edition that it is the first to include an expanded and improved range of illustrations reflective of advances in medical imaging. Hardcover burgundy cloth 8vo, 361pp. Very Good with light rubbing and bumping, some stress to hinges but firmly intact. Intermittent underling and signature to front pastedown. Profusely illustrated with b&w photos, several color charts, and an intriguing fold-out frontis with perforated sections of a skeleton that appears to have been replaced in later printings with a regular body chart. Very interesting graphics, including some action photos reminiscent of Muybridge's motion studies.
