Ruth Sutherland's architecture & interior design class project book
Large format student project book for coursework in interior design and architectural styles, 12 x 18 inches, 24 leaves. Undated, ca. late 1920s-early 1930s. Bound with ring clips in floral-printed cloth covered flexible boards with moderate overall soil and dampstaining to covers, chipping to the edges of some pages, including the pastedowns. Primarily pictorial clippings illustrating various styles of architecture and furnishings, as well as articles including "Furniture of Oak" by Ethel Davis Seal, which appeared in the September 1927 Ladies Home Journal. Immensely charming, if a little neglected.
