Point de croix: nouveaux dessins, 2me serie (Bibliothèque DMC)
Oblong quarto, (4), 20, (4)pp. No date, ca. 1900-1907. Twenty numbered plates for needlework designs printed in color. Norwegian import label and stamp of an embroidery firm on the cover; else unmarked. Near Fine with the faintest creasing to the corners of the wraps. An uncommon and superiorly produced DMC illustrated guide, presumed to be the first edition published ca. 1900-1907. The popularity of the Bibliothèque DMC series commanded later printings in which the publisher's imprint appeared at the bottom of each plate (possibly because they were easy to cut out and redistribute); later issues also had the "Bibliothèque DMC" formatted in a box on the title page and were eventually reduced to 8vo size. This is a particularly nice copy of the uncommon first edition.
