Fantastical whimsy of a needle book

Late nineteenth-century felt and velvet needle book (with an original packet of sharps) strung to a magical bundle of silky ribbons in different colors and sizes. A tactile delight and visual joy, the needle book measures 2.25 x 1.75 inches and the full piece dangles at 15 inches. The ribbons are fragile and fraying in places, so care (and a little support from the bottom) is advised if it is displayed in a hanging position. An exuberant little thing.
