1950s French pictorial sewing skill sample panel
A frankly odd assortment of student work incorporating sewing skill samples into (mostly) pictorial work. Featuring functional pockets and finishing details, the pieces are inset between manila cards with cutout shapes and illustrations painted in watercolor. Some read clearly as part of an image (an ice rink, a flower, a scroll...), others are a bit of a stretch--like the trouser fly that appears ornamented with sprigs. An eclectic bunch of varied charm, offered individually. 12.5 x 9.5 inches.
